Subscription Box Addiction
Updated: Oct 11, 2022
I have a confession...I am addicted to subscription boxes. It's like a monthly gift to yourself or Christmas arriving early! I give them as gifts to others, I send them to my daughter at college and I indulge in many myself. There is one out there for pretty much everyone these days. I thought I would share some insight on some that I have tried. Let's just jump right into this and unbox this review!
RocksBox - This is a designer jewelry subscription that lets you queue up a wish list of your favorite jewelry pieces. They will send you three pieces from your wish list for you to use as long as you like. You also have the option to switch your set before it ships to you so if you want to group a necklace, earrings and ring together for a night out or get

a full Kendra Scott matching set it's great for that! You can return and receive as many sets as you want in a month. I will say that I wish you could return say one piece of the three they send you and get another in its place but you do have to return or purchase all three pieces in any combo in order to receive a new shipment. You still pay a $19.99 per month fee. Their jewelry is high-end and the carry brands like Kendra Scott, Kate Spade, House of Harlow, Aster, Sophie Harper, Rudiment, and my personal favorite...Slate. I love it all and I highly recommend this to ladies who get bored with wearing the same pieces all the time! Check them out! www.rocksbox.com
Ipsy - www.ipsy.com is a beauty product subscription box however, I would say they tend to put more makeup in their boxes. Ok, I might get some backlash on this but

being a professional subscription connoisseur, this box compared to Birchbox ( which I will get into in a minute) is mediocre. They tend to repeat products often, and they aren't all at the quality level I expect. With the price being similar, it is worth it to go with the high end Birchbox instead. I will say that the makeup bags they send the products in are super cute but who needs 12 new makeup bags a year? I've turned them into random containers around the house so that's a plus! Sorry Ipsy I tried to love you but we can still be friends. It's not you, its me. Really.
Birchbox - Birchbox is a high end beauty sample product box designed with your tastes in mind based off of a quiz you take when you sign up. It was my first true love in the subscription box world and I will probably use it for life. Many of the products they have sent, I now use on a regular basis because of the quality of them. The hair products, skin

care, makeup, its all to die for. No kidding! Great quality. I tend to have a lot of mini products laying around over time but they are great for re gifting or putting in guest bedrooms or bathrooms for others to enjoy. This will run you about $110 per year and is worth every penny. The box comes in a nice little tissue wrapped package with an info card on the products. I.Just.Love.It. and so will you! www.birchbox.com
FabFitFun - This is a seasonal subscription box that comes with full size goodies that are tailored to the season that lies ahead. It is a little pricey and believe me, I get into trouble with thi
s one. The products are great and when shipping is about to happen you can customize the box and swap out some goodies for others they give you to choose from. One of my favorite things about this subscription box is that a few weeks befor
e shipping they do what is called "add-ons". These can really put a dent in your wallet because man are they great! The FFF team will send out an email to let you know when add-ons go live and you get to load up your shopping cart with discounted goodies that will arrive with your subscription box. Once the add-ons date has passed they will auto bill you for what is in your cart. You've been warned! The add-ons get me every time and lure me in because they are unique and different from what you would get at your local Target and Target is the SHIZZ! Let it be your fave too! www.fabfitfun.com

SingleSwag - Don't let the name fool you! I'm a married woman and this box has nothing to do with being single so I'm not sure what that is all about in the name. I send this box to my daughter monthly at college as kind of a "thinking of you" or care package for her.

She loves it. It has full size products like books, beauty products, snacks, journals, lots of goodies to indulge in.
This box is great for ladies living that independent girl power life! A great self care box to have. Check it out ladies! www.singleswag.com

BoxyLuxe/BoxyCharm - This is similar to SingleSwag or FabFitFun but more makeup focused so I tried it for a short period of time before cancelling. The BoxyLuxe is an upgrade to BoxyCharm where you get 8-9 full size beauty, skincare, and lifestyle items in March, June, September and December in addition to your BoxyCharm box. I was getting a little carried away and just wanted to stick to my top three favorites, RocksBox, Birchbox, and FabFitFun. Single Swag doesn't count because it is for my dagger. To be fair I didn't get to really give this one a chance but I will say the two shipments I received I was very pleased with. The packaging and products were great. Sorry Boxy, FabFitFun found me first! www.boxycharm.com
HelloFresh - This is by far the BEST cooking subscription box. I'm not going to even give the others a full review because that is how much this one blows them out of the water. See for yourself! www.hellofresh.com .Here's why....This subscription has many meals for a family of 2 or 4 with 3, 4, or 5 meals to choose per week. You can skip any week but don't forget to because it will auto ship and auto pick your meals if you don't visit the app or site often to make your selections!
There are many reasons I love this box the most but one of the main reasons is that you learn to cook new and exciting dishes that you can create on your own later. The ingredients can be found in any grocery store if you wanted to try the recipe on your own later! They send your meals on the day of the week you choose, in a nice cold box that will keep the food all day if left on your porch by the UPS man. Each meal is separated in its own brown paper bag and nicely labeled with all the ingredients packaged on the inside. I just stick the whole bags in my fridge and take them out when I am ready to cook. The food seems to keep really well this way. The quality of the food and ingredients are phenomenal and the recipes are all a 7-10 on a scale of 1-10. My family are picky eaters and there hasn't been a single meal we did not like. Absolutely, a time saver for busy moms and I actually save money by not throwing everything in the buggy at the grocery store. I could go on and on about this subscription but I won't. I just have two more words. TRY IT.

I have tried a few clothing boxes as well but I'm going to just say that I am too particular to have someone else dress me so I will be fair and leave them out of this review. There are by far many more subscriptions out there for everyone . Just jump on Google and type in your weakness followed by "subscription" box and be prepared for the results because they are a growing trend and have some really nice ones that hone in on your very favorite things! Bark Box is next on my list. My bulldogs better watch out!
